The Pound Ridge Business Association (PRBA) was founded in 1953 to enable the business community to better serve the needs of residents living in Pound Ridge and the surrounding communities. Mission Statement: These communities include Mt. Kisco, Bedford, Bedford Hills, Katonah, South Salem, New Canaan and North Stamford. Businesses that track their customer base report that anywhere from 20% to 90% of their customers do not live here. | |
Scotts Corners, Pound Ridge’s main shopping area on Westchester Avenue (near the New Canaan, Connecticut border), offers a variety of shops and services. The charming rural atmosphere of Scotts Corners is enhanced by the year ’round beautification efforts of the Association. Recent additions to the setting are the Pound Ridge Millennium Clock, the Fred Zwick Fountain and numerous park benches located throughout for leisurely enjoyment. Additional businesses are located in the Hamlet – an officially designated Historical District – along with the Hiram Halle Memorial Library and the Pound Ridge Museum. Our PRBA Members offer visitors to Pound Ridge the personal attention and small-town warmth all but gone in today’s high tech world. A broad variety of home-based businesses, tradesmen and services provide additional varied and sophisticated services conveniently in our community. To join the PRBA, just fill out the Application Form and return it to the Pound Ridge Business Association at the address on the form. A semi-annual newsletter, Around the Corners, is mailed to everyone in Pound Ridge to keep town residents current on the latest doings in the Pound Ridge business community. Also, we are looking for a volunteer to prepare and distribute our “Welcome to Pound Ridge” packet, which introduces new residents to our town with an assortment of premiums and coupons from Pound Ridge businesses and community organizations. |
